Right to disconnect – 繋がらない権利

というのがついに今月の26日から施行されます。

This change starts on:

• 26 August 2024 for non-small business employers
• 26 August 2025 for small business employers.

この権利は平たく言うと、業務時間外の連絡（社内、顧客を含む）を拒否することができるという権利です。

ただし、その連絡が不合理と認められる場合に限るようです。逆に言えば、時間外に不合理だと思う連絡があった場合にはFair Workへレポートすることが認められます。

「不合理」の判断基準が少し曖昧ですが、オンオフはっきりしたオーストラリアらしい働き方に関するアップデートですね。

携帯が普及したおかげで、どこでもいつでも仕事ができる状態であるが故、オンオフ区別が難しい状況もありますが、「自分の時間も設けましょう」というメッセージのように感じます。

まさに”Don’t work harder, work smarter”ですね。
