Amazonオーストラリアが個人配達員にも業界レートを適用

米オンライン小売り大手Amazon.comのオーストラリア子会社、Amazon Australia が、個人事業主との間で直接契約を結び、商品の配達業務を委託する「Amazon Flex」で、NSW州の委託ドライバーを対象に世界で初めて業界賃金レートを設定したとAustralianなどが伝えた。 　

NSW州労使委員会（IRC）の判決に基づき、業界レートは3月から2025年までに段階的に導入される。 積載量1.5~3.0トンのバンを使用するドライバーは現在の29.95豪ドル（約2,500円）から43.74 豪ドル（約3,650円）に時給が引き上げられる。（為替レートは2022年2月22日時点で計算）

小型車両のみの使用が認められたドライバーも現在の27.86豪ドルから37.80 豪ドルに引き上げられる。但し、自転車などでの食品配達に対しては適用されない。

また、NSW州のAmazon Flexのドライバーは、紛争解決や団体交渉などの権利も認められる予定だ。
