Customer Services

  • Establishes, maintains and promotes high standards of customer service maintaining a good relationship with the customers; reporting daily/monthly operational progress to the customers; handling claims/questions from the customers; carrying out any other activity to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains Loading requirements at the Customer Service Level (‘SCL’).

 

Inbound / Outbound operation management

  • Maintain Local and Interstate vehicle requirements.
  • Maintain Paperwork/Consignment dates for truckloads.
  • Take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space in order to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Coordinate deliveries with carriers.
  • Receives inbound/outbound information and assign working schedule for subordinates.
  • Coordinate the warehouse operations and allocate suitable manpower according to the daily inbound / outbound volume.
  • Monitors inbound/outbound operation progress and direct activities to complete daily task.
  • Control for Pallet warehouse and stock.
  • Liaises with the forwarder and arranges the import or export activities.
  • Any other duties which the company requires related to all operations.

 

General Management

  • Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the warehouse with KPIs.
  • Keep neat, clean and safe working environment.
  • Demonstrates high standards of safety conscious behaviour by planning and implementing measures to minimize accidents and injuries.
  • Keep equipment operating by enforcing operation instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Supports the Accounting department for billing and other financial issues.

 

People Management

  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Maintains good relationship with subordinates and colleagues by interpreting company policies, corporate values, policies, and procedures to workers and enhancing them; promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective teamwork.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance of the operation procedures and practices.
  • Monitors the daily attendance of the workers (follow up & control daily absence and over time, etc.)
  • Fluent in English and Japanese both verbal and written – Familiarity with Japanese business culture will be a bonus.
  • Own transport (closest public transport 15mins walk to bus stop)
  • Experience in warehouse/logistic industries (not essential but a big advantage)
  • Good PC skills, excel (essential), WMS
  • Detail mind, good time management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Our Client, a leading global supplier of logistics services, is looking for strong member who is looking to take on the role as a Warehouse Operational Assistant Manager.

The Warehouse Operational Assistant Manager position is a Full-time in Western Suburbs of Melbourne with a package of up to $65K+Super. You will provide ongoing all-round supervision and hands on management with customer services (B2B and B2C), in-bound/out-bound logistics management, people management and other related general affairs.   

The position is fitted for someone who has any previous experience in management or supervisory roles. Training will be provided for anyone new to the logistics and warehouse industry.

Candidates with exceptional interpersonal and management skills are highly regarded, however High Japanese Language skills is essential as you will be required to correspond with Japanese HQ frequently.

Location

Western Suburb, Melbourne – Cities of Melton and Wyndham local government areas (Own transport is highly preferred)

Working Hour

7:00am to 3:00pm or 8:00am to 4:00 pm – Monday to Friday
