Why Join?

Gain experience across the whole business

This isn’t a role where you’ll only perform one type of task.

You’ll gain practical exposure to sales, marketing, order support and business administration, and start to see how these functions connect within an international consumer products business.

For someone who has built a solid professional foundation and is ready to broaden their experience, this role offers valuable exposure across multiple areas of the business.

Work closely with senior management

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the Australian business.

The small team structure means you can see how decisions are made, understand the commercial impact of your work and make a visible contribution to the company.

As your experience grows, there may be opportunities to take on more responsibility—including greater involvement in broker communication and, over time, exposure to commercial discussions.

Learn with the support of an approachable team

You’re not expected to have experience in every part of the role from day one.

Some candidates will already have experience in sales support and want to learn more about marketing. Others may come from customer service, order processing or administration and be ready to broaden their commercial skills.

The team welcomes people who are still building their experience and provides practical guidance along the way. In return, asking questions, taking ownership of your work and showing a willingness to help the wider team go a long way.

Join a collaborative, multicultural workplace

The Australian office brings together people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

The team values respectful communication, cooperation and consideration for others. Personality and team fit matter, especially in this close-knit working environment.

You’ve gained some professional experience and understand the fundamentals of working in a business environment—communicating appropriately, managing deadlines, following through on commitments and raising issues before they become bigger problems.

You don’t need to be a specialist in sales, marketing or order support. What matters more is curiosity, reliability and a willingness to contribute across different areas.

You’re likely to enjoy this role if you:

⚫︎ Like variety and are willing to help outside a narrowly defined job scope
⚫︎ Enjoy both working with data and communicating with people
⚫︎ Can manage several priorities without losing attention to detail
⚫︎ Follow up persistently while remaining professional and considerate
⚫︎ Take responsibility for completing tasks and keeping others informed
⚫︎ Ask sensible questions when something is unclear
⚫︎ Adapt well to different cultures and ways of working
⚫︎ Want to build broad commercial experience rather than specialise too early
⚫︎ Value being part of a small, supportive team

Skills and Experience

Essential

⚫︎ Some professional work experience, ideally gained in Australia or a cross-cultural business environment
⚫︎ Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
⚫︎ Confidence communicating with external business partners by email, phone and in meetings
⚫︎ Good Excel skills and the ability to work accurately with sales and operational data
⚫︎ Strong organisational and time-management skills
 ⚫︎ Careful attention to detail
⚫︎ The ability to prioritise tasks and follow through on deadlines
 ⚫︎ A proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach
⚫︎ The maturity to identify problems, communicate them promptly and help find practical solutions
⚫︎ The ability to work effectively in a small, multicultural team
⚫︎ Unrestricted working rights in Australia
⚫︎ The ability to work primarily from the company’s Melbourne office

Desirable

⚫︎ Experience in sales support, sales administration or account coordination
⚫︎ Experience in marketing support or campaign coordination
⚫︎ Experience in customer service, order processing or logistics
⚫︎ Experience working with brokers, distributors, sales agents or other external partners
⚫︎ Experience in a product-based, retail, wholesale or consumer-facing business
⚫︎ Experience preparing sales reports or tracking budgets
 ⚫︎ SAP experience
⚫︎ Experience working with an overseas head office or regional stakeholders
⚫︎ Japanese language skills or an interest in working within a cross-cultural international organisation
 ⚫︎ A current Australian driver’s licence

Japanese language skills are highly regarded but are not essential.

⚫︎ Gain experience across the whole business
⚫︎ Work closely with senior management
⚫︎ Learn with the support of an approachable team
⚫︎ Join a collaborative, multicultural workplace

Career Meister’s View

This opportunity suits someone who wants more than a narrowly defined support role, without needing years of experience to get started.

You’ll be involved in the practical work required to support an international product-based business in Australia—communicating with external partners, assisting with sales and marketing activities, working with data, coordinating orders and collaborating with overseas stakeholders.

You’re not expected to arrive with experience in every one of these areas. The company is looking for someone who has already built sound professional habits and is now ready to learn more, take on broader responsibilities and grow with the business.

If you’re reliable, curious and comfortable contributing wherever the team needs you, this role could provide a strong foundation for a future career in sales, marketing or commercial operations.

Build broad commercial experience across sales, marketing and order support as part of a supportive international team.

 ⚫︎ Location: Melbourne inner city
⚫︎ Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am–5.00 pm
 ⚫︎ Salary: A$60,000 + superannuation
 ⚫︎ Employment: Full-time
 ⚫︎ Work arrangement: Primarily office-based
 ⚫︎ Reporting to: Managing Director

This is a varied, hands-on position covering sales support, marketing coordination, order processing and general business administration.

A key part of the role involves communicating with the company’s external sales broker in Australia. You will coordinate requests, follow up on sales and promotional activities, share information and work with the broker and Managing Director to resolve day-to-day issues.

Because this is a small team, the role isn’t limited to one narrowly defined function. On any given day, you might prepare a sales report, follow up with the broker, help coordinate promotional materials with an overseas head office, or check the status of a customer order.

This makes the position a good opportunity to understand how a commercial business works—from sales and marketing through to order fulfilment.
