You may currently be working as a Purchasing Officer, Procurement Officer, Supply Chain Coordinator, Inventory Controller, Materials Coordinator or similar, and now be ready for a stronger career pathway.

This is not a role for someone who simply wants to process purchase orders.

You will start hands-on, with direct impact on supplier performance, stock accuracy, material availability and production support. From there, there is a clear path to more responsibility: build a deeper understanding of the purchasing and logistics function, and grow toward a broader leadership role within a stable, well-established manufacturing business.

Take the Next Step

If you have purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment and are ready to build a long-term career rather than just fill another role, we would like to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and a short cover letter outlining your relevant experience.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Are you an experienced Purchasing Officer ready to build a genuine long-term career in manufacturing purchasing and logistics?

Our client is a long-established manufacturing business based in Epping, supplying specialised products to industrial and infrastructure-related customers across Australia. With local production, established supplier networks and international technical backing, this is a stable environment for someone who wants more than just another purchasing role.

They are looking for a capable Senior Purchasing Officer to join their purchasing and logistics function and grow into a key person within the team over time.

This is a hands-on role from day one. You will manage purchase orders, follow up suppliers, coordinate stock availability, and work closely with production and warehouse teams. At the same time, the business is looking for someone who can build the knowledge, relationships and confidence required to take on broader responsibility in the future.

If you have solid purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, strong SAP and Excel skills, and the ambition to take on real responsibility over time, this is worth a closer look.

Reporting to the Purchasing & Logistics Manager, you will work as part of a small, close-knit purchasing team.

Your core responsibility will be to procure and expedite the delivery of goods, materials, components, services and incidental items required for production. This includes working directly with suppliers, monitoring overdue orders, maintaining stock accuracy, and ensuring materials are available in line with manufacturing schedules.

This is not a management role from day one. However, the path forward is real, and the business is looking to invest in someone who can grow into a broader purchasing and logistics leadership role over time.
