Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Collaborate with senior executives to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Act as a strategic business partner, advising on risk management, compliance, and workforce planning in a highly competitive and globalised sector.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development, ensuring all HR initiatives support the company’s long-term vision.

HR Systems & Digital Transformation:

  • Lead the enhancement of HR systems for workforce planning, employee development, and compensation management.
  • Drive the adoption of digital HR tools to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and provide valuable insights to senior leadership through HR metrics.
  • Manage organisational change and ensure smooth implementation of HR strategies in line with evolving business needs.

HR Leadership & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with Australian labour laws, award interpretation, and industrial relations standards, while maintaining workplace safety.
  • Oversee payroll, superannuation, and related payments with precision and compliance.
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Track and report HR performance metrics and KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.

We are looking for a proven HR leader with strong strategic insight and the ability to influence senior management in a global business environment. You will bring a blend of HR expertise, industry knowledge, and leadership skills to help us drive our HR function to the next level.

  • 5+ years of HR leadership experience within multinational or publicly listed companies in Australia, ideally within the machinery or natural resources sector.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and Australian Labour Law, particularly in the resource sector.
  • Experience in overseeing HR systems transformations and using digital tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to align HR strategies with business objectives and support senior executives in driving organisational growth.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of managing relationships at all levels, including with Japanese HQ and other domestic offices.
  • Experience managing teams and mentoring HR professionals to ensure ongoing development and operational excellence.

Location

Based in Brisbane, but we are open to candidates from Melbourne, Sydney, or Perth. Please enquire about flexible location options.

Working Hour

Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (including around 30 mins lunch break) is the most common. Onsite with flexible start time, between 7:30am to 9:00am.
