In this role, you’ll be responsible for a range of financial and administrative duties essential for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth accounting processes across Australia and New Zealand:

  • Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll functions, including fortnightly and monthly payroll processing. Ensure compliance by handling reconciliation, journal entries, WorkCover, payroll tax, superannuation, and annual/long service leave provisions. Provide additional HR support as needed.
  • Accounts Payable: Oversee accounts payable functions by processing invoices, managing creditor payments, performing reconciliations, and handling credit card transactions to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • General Accounting & Compliance: Support the Finance Manager with business activity statements (BAS) preparation, prepayments, asset depreciation, and financial reporting. Ensure regulatory compliance across all financial operations.
  • Administration & HR Support: Assist with lease management for company vehicles, preparation of insurance claims, and various administrative tasks. Provide relief at reception during lunch breaks and handle overflow calls as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake ad-hoc duties to support the finance and administration teams, contributing to a collaborative and responsive office environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in MYOB, Xero, or similar accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Australian payroll systems and tax regulations is essential.
  • International Exposure: Hands-on experience with cross-border financial management across Australia and New Zealand.

Location

Located in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs, convenient to the Bayside and Kingston areas. This role is full-time on-site.

Working Hour

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (negotiable)
