In this role, you will:

  • Develop Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in Victoria, understanding their needs and helping them find the right products.
  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Proactively target restaurants, grocery stores, and other businesses that could benefit from our premium Japanese food products.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Drive sales by implementing effective strategies and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Cultural Promotion: Educate clients about Japanese culinary traditions, showcasing how these ingredients can be integrated into modern dishes.
  • Market Research & Insight: Stay informed on food trends and competitor activities, adjusting your sales tactics as needed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and product development teams to communicate customer feedback and ensure continued product excellence.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine love for Japanese cuisine and the drive to succeed in a sales-focused environment. You should also bring:

  • Fluency in Japanese (essential) and strong communication skills in English.
  • Sales Experience: Previous experience in sales, ideally within the food and beverage industry, will be an advantage, especially in B2B sales.
  • Product Knowledge: A strong interest or experience in Japanese cuisine and culture.
  • Driving Proficiency: A valid driver’s license is required, as regular client visits are expected. A company car will be provided.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-Motivated & Organised: Ability to work independently and manage your schedule to meet sales targets.
  • Full work rights in Australia
  • Company Vehicle: A company car will be provided for business-related travel.

Working Hour
