Management Accountant (Japanese-speaking)

What does your next role look like?

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate on budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial performance.
  • Cost Management: Suggest efficient spending strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with Japanese headquarters for financial updates.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Support senior finance leaders with critical tasks.
  • Corporate Planning and Analysis: Help develop business plans and budgets, forecast cash flow, and report on performance metrics.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Maintain compliance with J-SOX, perform self-assessments, and manage risk.
  • Corporate Governance: Work with legal counsel to ensure regulatory compliance and support business continuity planning.
  • Backup and Support: Cover for other finance/ICT team members when needed, including accounting, payroll, and IT tasks.

A little about you…

We are looking for candidates who exhibit the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • Qualifications: Degree in business or commerce; CPA, CA, CIMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Japanese and English.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and financial software proficiency.
  • Experience: Experience in Japan or a Japanese company is a plus.
  • Traits: Resilient, detail-oriented, and a strong multitasker.
  • Cultural Fit: Thrive in a multicultural team and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of finance, accounting, HR, ICT, and office administration. Familiarity with Japanese business culture.
  • Skills: Excellent communication in English and Japanese, problem-solving, and research abilities.
  • Abilities: Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, able to meet tight deadlines, and tech-savvy with business insight.


Hope Valley, Western Australia (Own transport is recommended)

Working Hour…

Full-time: 8:30am to 4:30pm (including a 30-min lunch break). Flexible start times negotiable between 7:30am and 9:00am.

Working flexibility…

For the first 12 months, office presence is recommended for optimal learning through face-to-face handover. Occasional work-from-home requests are welcome.
