Entry Level Japanese-speaking Accounts Administration

About This Position…

The Entry-level Accounts Administration position is a full-time position in Melbourne South-East. 

You will provide ongoing support to a small friendly team, including general administrative and accounting affairs such as booking keeping, preparing payrolls and monthly reports and more. Your interpersonal skill is highly regarded as you will have the chance to liaise with many external bodies, especially with the Japanese company representatives and other local accounting firms.

The position is fitted for someone who has passion and interest towards the housing/real estate business and enjoys carrying out efficient supportive tasks for a small team.

What does your next role look like?

Responsibility… Day-to-day accounting support

  • Providing administration support for the Accounting department
  • Arranging invoices for clients
  • Keeping all stock supplies up to date and ordering as necessary
  • Liaising with the Tax Office
  • Maintain and update general ledger and sales journal
  • Obtain approval to satisfy vendor statements
  • Inter-company invoicing and issuing of Inter-company statements
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with Corporate and local policies
  • Prepare the Vendor database change review file
  • Process and track all invoice and expense reimbursements
  • Manage the cash flow of the company
  • Check invoices, prepare payment instructions for authorising and posting (allocation of expenses)
  • General bookkeeping, preparing and maintaining various ledgers, monthly journals, debtor reconciliations and transactions relating to income and outgoings

A little about you…

  • Accounting degree
  • 1-2 years experience working in Accounting/Bookkeeping, Accounts Department
  • Competence with QuickBooks, MYOB or similar software
  • Professional and self-motivated attitude to work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with all levels of staff to become a valuable member of the team
  • Computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel and Word
  • Understanding of internal procedures
  • A strong sense of time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Numeracy skills
  • Organised and High attention to detail
  • Positive attitude with a great work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in Japanese & English)
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Respect for cultural differences and ability to develop positive relationships despite language and cultural barriers
  • Candidates must have the right to work full-time in Australia


Melbourne South-east – City of Monash LGA (Own transport is highly preferred) | Work from Office

Working Hour…

9.00am to 5.00pm – Monday to Friday
