Our Client is a dynamic Japanese technology startup revolutionising the global internet exchange industry. As they expand across multiple regions, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on Global HR Manager to drive our HR operations, build strong international teams, and establish world-class HR frameworks.

What does your next role look like?

As the Global HR Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing global HR strategiesdriving talent acquisition, and fostering a high-performance organisational culture. While long-term strategic planning is crucial, the initial phase will involve a hands-on approach to recruitment, onboarding, and talent development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and implement global HR strategies, policies, and organisational structures across multiple regions.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, including employer branding, talent sourcing, and onboarding.
  • Develop and manage employee engagement, performance management, and leadership training.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations across multiple countries.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on succession planning and workforce development.
  • Lead HR digital transformation, improving processes and HR systems.

Regions Covered:

Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, the US, Europe, the Philippines, and Australia.

A little about you…

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of HR leadership experience in a multinational environment, preferably in startups or high-growth businesses
  • Strong expertise in global HR regulations, international employment laws, and cross-cultural HR management
  • A proven ability to build and lead HR functions from scratch, including recruitment, talent development, and organisational growth.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with leadership teams across multiple regions.
  • Fluent English skills (Japanese proficiency is a plus but not required)
  • Melbourne-based office is planned but not mandatory.A hands-on, adaptable mindset with a passion for working in fast-paced, multicultural environments.

Working Hour…

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (flexible working arrangements available).

Salary range…

Negotiable based on current salary and expectations (above market rate).

– For a Global HR Manager role in Melbourne, the typical salary range is $150,000-$180,000 + Superannuation. However, the final offer will be determined based on your experience, skills, industry background, and the company’s compensation structure, ensuring a competitive package that reflects your value and expertise.
