Business Development Coordinator (Japanese language skills required)

Through his experience within the Australian and Global Automotive Market, he saw many opportunities to make changes and develop new systems that would benefit the Automotive Industry. With his team of industry experts from Australia and around the globe, they have begun developing new solutions and technology for the Australian market. 

Now they are expanding and establishing their new office in Melbourne.

About Role

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a “Japanese-speaking Business Development Coordinator” to join an innovative Automotive tech start-up based in Melbourne City – Collingwood.

This is a full time position and a critical member of the Sales and Marketing Team. This role will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), strong attention to detail and have the ability to multi-task.

Job Tasks

  • Providing direct support to Business Development Manager, including translation/interpreting between English and Japanese, and liaising with HQ (Japan) to accelerate their business in Australia.
  • Translation of documents from Japanese to English, and English to Japanese
  • Supporting to identify and develop distribution and sales opportunities
  • Supporting to develop strong long-term relationships within the current distribution network and the wider industry.
  • Preparing quotations and proposals in collaboration with the other teams
  • Supporting to achieve a sales/BD budget
  • Manage all schedules
  • Take minutes for meetings
  • Coordinate and/or assist with team meetings (e.g. staff meetings, all-hands meetings, quarterly on-sites/off-sites, team gatherings, etc.) May assist with event planning. 
  • Be the key person to oversee communication with all the stakeholders to the business

What you will need to succeed

  • Must fluently speak, read, and write both English and Japanese
  • Administrative and/or executive support experience required
  • Automotive Industry experience in a sales support role – highly regarded
  • Previous sales experience an advantage but not essential
  • Skills to manage a multi-task workload, meet priorities and varying demands
  • Self-motivation, initiative and problem solving expertise
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Sound interpersonal skills and high standards of integrity and confidentiality
  • Current drivers licence
  • High level of computer literacy (MS Office) skills essential

Candidates must have the right to work in Australia.

Working Hour

9.00am – 5.30pm I Monday to Friday

Start From

August to September 2021 (ASAP start is an ideal)
