About This Position…

Our client is expanding their Lifecycle Services team to meet growing demands from the Japan market and is seeking a Bilingual Technical Support Specialist. You’ll coordinate after-sales service, support customer satisfaction, and deliver technical solutions tailored for Japanese-speaking clients. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless communication, preventive maintenance planning, and detailed service tracking.

What does your next role look like?

• Coordinate and manage service requests from Japanese customers
• Proactively support key clients with preventive maintenance planning and follow-up
• Arrange and prepare internal and field resources for efficient service delivery
• Troubleshoot issues by collaborating with internal engineers and teams
• Provide clear and accurate guidance on equipment operation and maintenance
• Deliver remote training to customers on proper equipment use and maintenance
• Maintain and update service logs and customer technical records
• Track the full lifecycle of each installation, ensuring service milestones and SLAs are achieved
• Identify recurring issues and report actionable insights to internal/external stakeholders

A little about you…

• Fluent in Japanese (business/professional level), with strong English communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field (preferred but not essential)
• 5+ years’ experience in customer-facing technical support or complaint resolution roles in Japan
• Ability to read and understand mechanical/electrical schematics (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with resource scheduling and coordination is highly regarded
• Strong interpersonal skills, logical thinking, and a proactive, service-first attitude
• Previous experience working in or with Japanese businesses is a strong advantage
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

Location…

Northern Melbourne (Close to Mill Park / Campbellfield). Own transportation is required.

Working Hour…

Aligned with Japanese working hours:

• Daylight Saving Period: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (AEDT)
• Standard Period: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (AEST)

You will follow the Japanese national holiday calendar and work on Australian public holidays, with appropriate compensation provided.

This is a full-time, onsite position. Remote or hybrid working arrangements are not available.
