About This Position…

Join a dynamic and growing international business advisory firm as a Manager (Accounting & Taxation). Work closely with Japanese clients, providing professional services in accounting, taxation, and business advisory. This is a full-time opportunity based in Melbourne (other locations negotiable), ideal for those who are fluent in Japanese and experienced in public practice.

As part of our client’s expansion in Australia, they are looking for a bilingual Manager to join their Melbourne office. The firm provides a wide range of services including company set-up support, financial reporting, tax compliance, M&A advisory, and internal audit assistance. You will work in a multicultural environment supporting international businesses entering or operating in the Australian market.

What does your next role look like?

In this role, you will:

• Liaise with clients on accounting, tax, and general business matters
• Review bookkeeping and financial statements prepared by junior staff
• Review and support the preparation of monthly and annual tax filings
• Provide advice on business set-up and structuring in Australia
• Deliver accounting and tax advice, including cross-border transactions
• Advise on Australian tax audits and accounting compliance
• Build and manage client relationships, including proactive outreach
• Conduct business development activities including cold calls
• Support internal/external seminars and training sessions as needed

A little about you…

• CPA/CA qualified (Australia, Japan, or other relevant jurisdictions) preferred
• Strong experience in public practice or business advisory firms
• Proficiency with MYOB and/or XERO
• Hands-on experience with payroll, IAS, BAS, FBT and CTR preparation
• Japanese language fluency (native level or highly proficient)
• Business-level English communication skills
• A collaborative and client-focused mindset

Melbourne preferred (remote/flexible location may be considered)

Working Hour…

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (flexible working arrangements available).

Salary range…

AUD 100,000 + Superannuation (negotiable based on experience)

Working flexibility…

Hybrid or remote arrangements possible depending on location and experience
