The business has grown rapidly since 2018, and now we are looking for a Business Development Manager to support Sales Director to look after & develop the business in the local manufacturing clients. 

They are targeting the local manufacturers, and helping them to go through cost reduction & minimise the potential risk of buying products from oversea.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who understands the importance of customer care, networking, lead generation, and client management to join a team in Melbourne.

Additionally, you will have some technical knowledge and great attention to detail to ensure our current and future clients receive the best customer service and potential cost-saving plans.

 

You will be responsible for 

  • Discover & identify potential customers
  • Follow-up activities, an end-to-end sales process execution
  • Secure sales and ongoing service contracts from new and existing customers with a solution-sales mindset
  • CRM – client account management  
  • On-site visits with potential or current clients to gain detailed understandings of their needs.
  • Provide technical product advice and support on products and services
  • Exceed the minimum sales targets for products and services
  • Develop sales proposals and product documents
  • Collaborate with the internal team, to ensure the best customer experience possible is delivered to all clients
  • Has extensive knowledge & contacts in the local manufacturing industry 
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing B2B sales role
  • Have a can-do attitude and proven track record of delivering results and achieving outcomes and targets
  • Business development enthusiast with strong interpersonal skills who is passionate about sales and customer experiences
  • Passion for dealing with local manufactures, and the ability to pick up technical details quickly
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Ability to travel interstate where required
  • Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing situations
  • Ability to communicate on all levels with exceptional relationship-building skills
  • Can thrive under pressure, and excel in a fast-changing, innovative environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ready to be on the road/call most of the time
  • Previous experience in business development for the Steelwork or Electrical Cable Accessories space is advantageous, but not essential.

Location

South-east of Melbourne – City of Greater Dandenong LGA.

Working Hour

9.00am-5.00pm (35hours/week) – Monday to Friday (Flexibility will be highly acceptable)

Start From

September 2021 (ASAP start is an ideal)
