This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant or Finance Manager who has worked within a residential community development business or project-based business to join a supportive and professional team in Melbourne city. 

The Financial Accountant is accountable to the Alliance by efficiently and effectively completing hereunder the key “Task and Responsibilities”, including but not limited to:

  • Provision of support to the Finance Team to administer accounting
  • Prepare progress claims
  • Process and resolve all tax issues and insurances
  • Profit and loss reports
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets
  • Assist with the analysis of monthly results
  • To manage finance team in the use and application of the accounting and finance information systems whilst ensuring adequate training is being undertaken
  • Work closely with the General Manager(s) and other senior manager(s), reviews financial performance and recommends operational changes
  • To ensure quality of documentation and reports meet Company standards and time lines
  • To assist with annual budget preparation and plans consistent with the VIC Region Alliance’s objectives around the defined key financial indicators
  • To Assess performance of the VIC Region Alliance, identify and recommend strategies to address areas of underperformance or to take advantage of emerging opportunities, ensuring the General Manager(s) is up to date with developments
  • Good command in English & Japanese
  • Experience in a commercial environment in financial accounting or a similar role
  • A demonstrated ability to work as an effective part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
  • Exposure to Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable functions
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Exposure to a fully integrated accountancy system
  • CPA/CA membership

Our client develops, constructs, sells, and leases real estate properties including office buildings, commercial properties, and residential properties. They will continue to actively engage in both residential community development and commercial office businesses in Australia through collaboration with leading business partners to further expand its business.

Location

This role is located in MELBOURNE City, and very close to many options for public transport.

Working Hour

Monday to Friday (9:00-17:30)

Start From

November to December 2020 (once the lockdown is eased)
*This role is a 12-month contract from commencement. (possible extension)
